Design is iterative. I will start with a concept design for your project, then adjust the design based on your feedback until you are happy with the result. My designs are prepared in both 2D (plans) and 3D (a computer model) to give you the clearest understanding of planning, form and materials. As the design process progresses more detail is added.

Every project is different and of varying complexity. My projects will always move at a pace the client is comfortable with. Remember, it is always less expensive to move things on paper than to move things on site, so it is very wise to invest in the design process to ensure you are happy before committing to the build.

Yes, I can handle your project from the initial design concept through to the completion of the build process. I will prepare and lodge the required documents and reports with the assessing and approving authorities along the way and respond to their queries, keeping you updated throughout the entire process.

Yes, designing for environmental efficiency is responsible design. I will always consider the solar orientation and microclimate of your site (e.g local cooling breezes) to ensure your home can be as comfortable as possible throughout the year without relying on mechanical heating and cooling.
